Overview
Etra-IV is the first habitable Class-M planet discovered in Deep Space, and is the home to many of the most unique geology and wildlife. The Voxel Box's best and brightest exploration unit is preparing this planet for tourism. Although many lifeforms exist on the planet, the vast majority of the planet's surface is at sub-zero temperatures and inhospitible to humanoid life.
Getting There From Spawn
- Take the Deep Space VoxelRocket at the launch pad to Celtel Orbital Station.
- Find and enter the AstroVox hangar between the blue and green sections of Celtel's outer ring.
- Take AstroVox String 2 coreward toward MV-1, which is in orbit around the planet.
- Take a shuttle from MV-1's coreward (Blue) shuttle station down to the planet's surface.
Building on Etra IV
The Deep Space Authority is allowing permitted colonies on the surface of Etra IV that do not disturb local ecology or geology. Want to contribute? Consider building an example in your Cubicle and showing it to plusnine for approval!
Composition
Etra IV is rich in the crystal mineral Sustainium. It also has generous Tedstone deposits in its volcanic regions.
Satellites
Etra IV has four satellite moons and two gaseous rings.
Biological Readings
Etra IV is host to a wide variety of vegetative life including fungi, grasses and trees, and even some sentient life.
Occasionally, lumbering Etrans walk the surface of the planet at a pace so slow that they scarcely seem to move at all. They migrate beween the sinkholes of the planet's liquid pools. The bases of these pools are dangerous quicksand whose pressures would demolish the average humanoid. Thanks to their gelatinous body structure, the Etrans can navigate these inhospitable networks of tunnels to their underground cities. They largely ignore the new settlements springing up around as they migrate around the planet from habitable zone to habitable zone.
